In-person & online across Ireland

AI training that feels like a good class, not a sales pitch.

I'm Ryan. I help teachers, charity teams and staff use AI tools safely and confidently, in plain English, with your own work on the table.

Who I work with

Three kinds of rooms. One approach: practical, honest, human.

Schools

AI for teachers and school leaders

Built around the Department of Education and Youth's Guidance on AI in Schools and its four Ps: Purpose, Planning, Policies and Practice.

  • Planning and preparation that saves real hours
  • What not to put into AI tools: pupil data and GDPR
  • Talking to students about AI, honesty and their own thinking
  • A starter AI policy your board can discuss

Charities & community groups

Do more with a small team

I've worked inside Irish charities in fundraising and stakeholder roles, so I know what an overstretched team needs from an afternoon of training.

  • Grant applications, reports and newsletters, faster
  • Fundraising copy that still sounds like you
  • Safe handling of client and donor information
  • Free and low-cost tools only, unless you ask otherwise

Companies & public bodies

AI literacy for your staff

Under Article 4 of the EU AI Act, organisations using AI must take measures to support their staff's AI literacy. A recorded, tailored session is a simple, sensible step.

  • Everyday tools: writing, research, meetings, email
  • Checking outputs: errors, bias and data exposure
  • Team guidelines you can actually follow
  • China-facing teams: sessions in English or Mandarin

“People don't need another demo. They need someone to sit with them, use their own documents and their own worries, and show them what's safe and what's useful.”

— Ryan

How we can work together

Start small. Go further only if it's useful.

60–90 minutes

Taster talk

A staff meeting, Croke Park hour or lunchtime slot. What AI is, what it's good and bad at, and three things your team can try tomorrow.

Half day

Hands-on workshop

Laptops open. We work through your real tasks together, set simple ground rules, and everyone leaves with a one-page guide and tested prompts.

Over a term

Follow-through

Short check-ins, help drafting an AI policy or guidelines, and a second session once people have tried things in practice.

Every session is quoted for your group. I'm based in the North-West and travel; online sessions work anywhere in Ireland.

What happens when you get in touch

Four simple steps.

  1. 1

    A free 20-minute chat

Who's in the room, what tools you already use, and what worries people.

  2. 2

    A short written plan

Outline, timing and a fixed quote. No surprises.

  3. 3

    The session

Practical, interactive, built on your own examples.

  4. 4

    Take-home pack

One-page guide, prompts and a record of the training for your files.

About me

Teacher first. Then communicator. Then the AI.

I'm Irish and American, and I spent sixteen years working in China, in healthcare, communications and education. Back in Ireland, I've taught English to adults and visiting students, delivered prevention education in schools, and worked in charity fundraising and stakeholder engagement.

Over the past few years I've built AI into real work: testing a health chatbot, creating reusable learning content, and leading small intern teams who built chatbots, games and AI-supported projects. I also run NativeAIPR, a bilingual communications service where AI drafts and a human always checks.

That last rule is the heart of my training: AI helps, people decide.
